Static Eliminators
The removal of static from substrates is of great importance and contributes to health and safety. Furthermore, the elimination of static charges from a substrate can add to its quality and ease of handling.
Ionising bars can be supplied in a variety of lengths to suit all web widths and web speeds. They can be used for close proximity (say up to 100mm away from the web) or a high performance ionising bar can offer elimination at a distance of up to 600 mm away from the web.
Carbon fibre bars can be supplied that will reduce charges to a satisfactory level without the need for an electrical supply.
Electrically operated close proximity ionising bars can be supplied in a variety of lengths to suit all web widths. The close proximity type of bar is used on webs that run at speeds up to 300 m/min. and where the web path remains constant, thus maintaining the same position in relation to the bar. These require an electrical power supply of 240v or 110v for a power module, and up to four bars can be operated from one power module.
Electrically operated high performance ionising bars can be supplied in a variety of lengths to suit all web widths. These are used on webs that run at speeds up to 600 m/min. and/or where the web path varies, thus changing its position in relation to the bar. These require an electrical power supply of 240v or 110v for a power module, and up to four bars can be operated from one power module.
Air assisted bars can also be supplied. These are normally used on webs that run up to 300 m/min. and where the position of the web varies, or where circumstances dictate that the bar must be positioned well clear of the web. These require an electrical power supply of 240v or 110v for a power module, and up to four bars can be operated from one power module.
Carbon fibre bars can be supplied that will reduce charges to a satisfactory level without the need for an electrical supply. Because these bars do not require an electrical supply, the cost is greatly reduced.
